Colombia is a country in South America, bordering Peru, Brazil, Panama, Venezuela and Ecuador. This is where the beginning of Colombiana began and it's capital is Bogota.

Like most Latin-American countries, Colombia gained independence from Spain in the 1820s. As the time period went to the 1960s, violent crime and drug-trafficking began to occur, started to escalate in the 1970s-1990s, and is still a threat today.
